During the time they are with us they will learn to sail, navigate and plan trips, explore tropical islands, spearfish and snorkle on exotic reefs, and experience new cultures. If they attend during the school year they will study math, science, history, and literature, as well as learn about the countries they are visiting. These trips build relationships and self-confidence in the youth. The close proximity living aboard and working the boat requires teamwork and fosters a natural discipline, encourageing teamwork and self-reliance. Young people today have substituted their personal dreams for television shows and the video game experience has taken the place of real life adventure. Adventure trips are like a jump start for dreams. Kids who have no personal goals or dreams for their future, experience a new real life adventure. They paddle a kayak through the morning fog, stand on the bow and look all the way around a sailboat, heeled over in the wind, and see the ocean with no land in sight. In these experiences success is the only option.
